Happy 53th Anniversary for all members of the White Stag Family!!

White Stag has come a long long way since the founding at Old Siglap till the present day in Siglap Secondary School. Feat not! The generation of White Stag will continue to grow stronger and stronger each year!

Here are some information for the June Training Camp (JTC).

1. Please kindly take note to bring your personal thermometer for temperature taking during camp. This is in line with the MOH regulation especially during this season whereby flu is common. Temperature taking will take place 2 times a day, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon.

PLs do take note and record all members temperature throughout the camp and submit to the leaders.

2. Please prepare all your patrol equipment and items before the camp begins so as to maximise your time spent on the activities. Just to recap, here are the major things you will be doing. More information will be given during the meeting on 29th of May 2009.

Donation Draw 2009

The donation draw event and patrol challenge has begun! During the month of May till the month of August, Singapore Scouts are taking part in this fund-raising event nation-wide.

This time round, each patrol is allocated 80 booklets each. Each booklet will consist of 5 tickets worth of $2.00 each. Thus the patrol that sells all the booklets in the fastest time, wins!

To qualify for your respective squirrel badges, a minimum of 10 booklets have to be sold. Any lost booklet will be considered sold, so do treasure your booklets!

Should anyone wants more booklet, do contact the leaders so that we can obtain for you.

Summary of awards:

1. Top Patrol Award - selling all 80 booklets in the fastest time allocated
2. Scout Vest (w/o badges) - an individual award for the first seller to complete selling 30 booklets
3. Wombat's Vest - an individual award for the first seller to complete selling 50 booklets.

How to sell donation draw? Do ask your PLs or the leaders for questions!

Start selling fast as all scouts are competing for people to buy!

Dear White Stags,

I guess examination week is coming to an end. I hope you are gear up for training as well. Don't worry as it isn't just about training, training and training. It's also about fun, fun and more fun. But that totally depends on you guys.

Meeting
Troop meeting for the Month of May will resume on the following dates:

1. 22nd of May 2009 (Friday) - 2:45pm to 6:00pm
2. 29th of May 2009 (Friday) - 2:45pm to 6:00pm

Meeting will be as per normal and the training for this two weeks will be the preparation for your June Training camp as well as your knots and pioneering training.

The PLC will be running the show, mostly. So PLC do prepare your items and run it well.

Activities
As you can see in the previous post, there are some activities being line up...

1. First Aid Course
The following scouts are involved in the First Aid Course,

Tiger: Nowell, Zavier, Benedict
Lion: Nick, Beng Ray, Ashley
Eagle: Shane, Clifton
Kingfisher: Bernard, Wee Guan, Wei An, Khairul.

100% Attendance is compulsory for the course from 18th to 20th of June, from 9am to 6pm.

Course Fees will be $80.00 per person. However, the fees will be subsidised.

2. International Coastal Cleanup Singapore (ICCS) Tampines 2009
No response till now...

Others
If any of you would like to submit your proficiency badges details, please do so during the meetings.

And if any of you would like to have a proficiency badge course run in the unit, do decide on the course that you are interested in. Submit the names to your PLs and then the PLs to the Leaders Council.

Upon receiving the names and the course interested in, the Leaders Council will try their best to run the course for you.

If there is nothing else, I will see you this coming meeting.

FYI, attendance for the CCA is 75% and above, failure to comply will result in getting NO CCA POINTS, as well as facing disciplinary actions by the school.
