Hey White Stags,
due to the recent H1N1 (a.k.a Swine Flu), scout meetings will be put on hold for the moment, until when the school decided to continue CCA. So, let's try some e-learning experience so that those who comes online can inform others to do so too.
Here are some advise for those who are unknown to the Swine Flu, and as scouts, we should read the current news more often.
1. Temperature taking - try taking your temperature at least 3 times a day and if your temperature is 37.5 degrees and above, please go and see a doctor immediately or call 993.
2. Avoiding hot spots - knowing that youths like going to crowded places, at the moment try to avoid due to the high possibility of human to human transmission.
3. Drinking lots of water - Soft drinks are a favourite, including myself, but drinking water is the best to clear your body system and keep your body healthy.
4. Eat healthy - Fruits and veggies are a must to have daily, so that your body can have the vitamins to protect against flu and other illness.
Enough health talk... here comes the more important part of your progressive scheme. Here are some advise to do up your logbook, if you do not know how to start.
On the start, you can get an exercise book, either A4 or A5 or begin. You can do up some design on the front page and stuff to make it personalise.
What you have to include in the logbook is...
1. Content page
2. Introduction to self and your aims/ goals in scouting
3. Your assignments/ experiences
4. Your suggestions and thoughts.
Here are some samples for the following items.
So start doing up your logbook and should you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the leaders what to include and what to do about it.
Make it something memorable and personal for your own keeping... This is your Scouting Journey... make it worthwhile!
